Everything contestants see in the previous articles is shaped by choices you make in the admin. Five minutes of setup buys you a self-serve event day.
Before you open entries
- Turn on self-registration for the classes and ballots where contestants may enter themselves — it's per-class (Class Assignments) and per-ballot (Voting Ballots), so you stay in control of restricted classes.
- Decide what each class requires. Required steps become the contestant's checklist; optional ones are labeled Optional. Keep required steps to what you truly need.
- Add your event branding — logo and mobile background. The contestant screens sit on top of your image, and a branded screen reads as "official" at check-in.
- Print the event QR code large. It's the single doorway to sign-in, registration, entries, and voting.
Test it yourself — as a contestant
- Add yourself as a contestant to one class.
- Sign out of admin, scan your own QR code, and sign in as a Contestant.
- Enter the class, watch the checklist, tap Update Entry.
- Fix anything that surprised you before your contestants meet it.
